Overview
As a way to raise training effect and sustain operation and maintenance skill without real equipment, we have developed a Virtual Weapon System since 2014 whose components, operation and movement are identical to the real equipment. With VR, trainees practice the parts they need and transfer the skill to real maintenance.
The VR mock-up firing simulator for K9 training builds key components as mock-ups and runs actual operation in VR with the same or similar feel as the real components. A lightweight mock-up turret and hull (structure-analysis based) and user-operated mock-up components give a real sense of operation at about one-tenth the price of a physical simulator.
